Recognised for using Red Hat’s open source technologies to accelerate innovation, foster transformation, and deliver lasting business impact
On 22 September 2025, Red Hat announced Advent One as a winner of the Red Hat APAC Innovation Awards 2025 for the Australia and New Zealand region. We were recognised in the Digital Transformation category for our forward-thinking use of Red Hat technologies to drive innovation, enable transformation, and create meaningful business outcomes.
The Digital Transformation category recognises organisations that have modernised and optimised their IT environments to boost efficiency, agility and speed, delivering measurable business value and setting the stage for continual innovation.
Central to this recognition is our recent in-house project which we’re now taking to market. In response to market dynamics surrounding virtual machines and containers, we developed an automated operating model we could use within our own environment and also for our clients. In March 2025, we completed own migration from VMware to Red Hat OpenShift, establishing a model for repeatable deployment, migration and ongoing operations using Red Hat OpenShift GitOps and Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform at its core.
Through our own transformation, we reduced our virtual environment by more than 40%, with much of our application stack running on Red Hat OpenShift. A major application that previously required 184GB of memory on VMware now operates with less than 10GB, while customer dashboards load two to three times faster. These improvements have contributed to six-figure annual savings, reinforcing the value of open source in driving both efficiency and cost optimisation. By deepening its expertise in Red Hat OpenShift and Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, the organisation has also strengthened its market position, with the technical capability of its container modernisation solution a key differentiator.
At the Red Hat Summit Connect on 23 September 2025, Red Hat also announced Advent One as Partner of the Year 2025. This award celebrates an ecosystem partner which has delivered exceptional impact through collaboration with Red Hat. Selection considers business growth, customer success, and innovation across hybrid cloud, automation, and AI. Partners will be recognised for the strength and relevance of their contributions, not for checking every box.
Red Hat indicated this award highlights the impressive partnership, collaboration, and strong performance they’ve seen from Advent One. The proactive engagement across both sales and technical teams in both organisations has consistently driven excellent joint business outcomes. Being the first managed services provider in ANZ to migrate from VMware to OpenShift Virtualization also helped.
